<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Speedplay vs. Toronto Cycles
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"> It seems the time for Speedplay to launch legal claims again. Back in 2011 many companies and riders (Including myself) experienced Speedplay pushing legal claims on anybody making replacement parts or even selling used items on eBay.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"> I just received a legal demand from Speedplay that all items related to them be removed. This includes bearings, bolts and all accessories.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Was wondering why is Speedplay the the only company that does this? I never heard about this with Shimano, Sram, Toyota, Honda or any company that makes replacement parts when those replacement parts are clearly aftermarket and in many cases items the original company does not produce.

We have recently implemented a profanity filter for emails. If you use language that is of this nature your emails will be automatically blocked.
I personally find this type of language is inappropriate via text and has been used excessively by trolling type people, in our day to day lives is common to curse on occasion but is different in verbal communication. Problems will not be solved by cursing at me nor will any practical business.
If your email or business name contains a curse word it might be blocked. Please send an email from a different company account. For example a company called "SHITE INDUSTRIES" will be blocked (A better name might be a wise decision). I can remove the filter for your company in this case. Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03889453244082573645noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4337369707212979953.post-76184604661327027372017-08-09T14:13:00.003-07:002017-08-09T14:13:29.695-07:00Anodize World: Maroon Anodizing Dye

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">New Shipping Policy

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Due to late or non delivered items there is a new tiered shipping rate and larger orders will have to have a confirmed tracking method. Sadly some customers have taken advantage of this in the past and has caused the most complaints over the years.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Shipping without tracking is out of my control and no longer works on my end. We will be working on the website to reflect this change. Smaller orders can still be shipped via Air mail since many orders are under 50.00.More expensive orders will ship for free to serve as a bit of a discount.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

As you can see there is a mis-colored part that cleaned up in stripping and then would reappear. This problem can be from a few things but his problem was from water hanging after the rinse in this location.
Water hang can oxodize the aluminum surface and change the anodize. I've had this problem in the past and solved by wiping the water and using compressed air to quick dry prior to racking. The aluminum will enter the tank dry.
Other problems could be contamination or casting impurities but not in this case. ***This dye is Deep Orange***
Here at Toronto Cycles we have these in anodized colors. The anodizing is done in house since the company only makes in black. Since so many requests have come in for colors we decided to start anodizing. We also have a titanium bolt upgrade kit to shave off a few extra grams.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"> As we all know bike parts<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"> can be valuable and in a city like Toronto there is a fair chance your parts will get robbed. Toronto is often considered the bike stealing capitol of North America. I have had several customers that have had seats and posts stolen, wheels and one lost his stem and bars. One customer went in a shop for coffee and took 5 minutes to loose his post which was about a $400.00 loss. So I have started making ti anti theft bolts and will be expanding into 2016. These are impossible to remove without the tool.

We will not sell just the tool unless you have purchased before and have lost. The is to keep possible thieves from obtaining.
These will hold more torque than a standard bolt but due to the nature of this item I cannot warranty against breakage. Please tighten by hand. The tool is hardened steel. The bolts are grade 5 titanium.
