Contact Toronto Cycles
The Contact Us page has been updated.We started telephone service in late 2012. Prior to this we were using email only. Recently the calling volume has increased to the point where this service will only be available to dealers, bike shops and vendors. I need to devote my time to the internet business.
All other inquiries will need to be via eMail only.
Our Store hours will now be on Saturdays from 10-3pm.

Toronto Cycles Anodizing Services
Due to time issues and the complex nature we will no longer be doing outside anodizing on used items. These items need many hours in stripping and prep work making it not cost effective. However, we will do runs on new production, preferably 7000 series aluminum.
Titanium anodizing is still ok as not as involved. We will still be doing our own items as normal.

Powder Coating Services in Toronto
Toronto Cycles can do powder coating in house.
Below are some photos of a frame we did for a customer. This is wet black with gold flake. It has a nice effect. In the sunlight the gold really pops and in shaded conditions or evening it looks straight black. Please inquire at sales@torontocycles.com for pricings and details.

Precision Billet Derailleurs - Our other Website
Our new Precision Billet derailleurs are ready for sale. We will be selling these at our other website : www.Precision Billet.com.
These are medium caged units and will work with all shifters. The originals were used on 6, 7 and 8 speeds but I used mine on a 10 speed. These weigh in at about 147 grams with the carbon plates, all titanium, carbon and aluminum hardware (Steel springs though because the ti ones dont have much tension). Optional Baked PTFE coating, titanium anodizing, alloy cage plates, ceramic bearings and titanium springs.
Anodizing is done in house and can do some custom colors for an additional charge. More details will be posted on the new site as well as parts and instructions.

Precision Billet 2nd Generation Derailleurs
The Precision Billet 2nd generation derailleurs are ready for release. We only have a few units for now and will be set for full production. Testing is about complete and we will have a short video with a unit mounted in the near future. Sales will be going through our other website www.precisionbillet.com and will also be updated to reflect the change. If you wish to purchase a unit please check out that site in the coming weeks.We will be moving soon. During this time I will be generally closed to walk in customers since my time will be split between 2 places. The move will be complete in December and ready for Christmas. Online sales are still normal but might have a day or 2 delay in processing.

How to Measure Bolts - Bolt Size
How to measure a bolt? I've been asked this many times over the years. Below I put some information on this topic. Also more information and photos can be found on the Toronto Cycles website. If you are ordering bolts please make sure you are measuring properly.
Bolt size is measured from the end of the threads to the bottom of the bolt head. The bolt head diameter makes no difference in general measurements. When threads are cut or rolled the outside diameter will be reduced a bit. So a 5mm bolt will have a thread diameter measurement of something like 4.9mm.
The socket the bolt uses does not determine the bolt size! This is really important and a common mistake made. You measure the diameter of the shaft to come up with the value. For example a M5x10 bolt has a 5mm shaft diameter and is 10mm long from the bottom of the head to the end of the fastener. If a bolt or screw uses a hex socket or a screwdriver then there is the standard to measure. Don't use the allen key for measuring.
Measuring Countersunk Bolts. When measuring a countersunk bolt it is always measured by the TOTAL bolt length. Items like Thomson seat post bolts are also measured like this because the bottom of the head has a chamber.
